Original Mac 128k on eBay

FYI - I'm listing my original Mac 128K on eBay. It has not been modified for additional memory, newer ROMS, etc.

Here's the link in case anyone's interested:

They usually go for 100+ on eBay. Hard to say. I've got a Plus that I'm trying to clean up right now as well. Got the keyboard, got the mouse, got the disks. Just don't have the keyboard cable. Sad FYI - It's fairly easy to find disk images for the old Macs on the internet. It can be a bit tricky to create the floppy though. Generally, the older the machine you use to create the disks, the better.

Good luck.

So how much...

So how much for one that needs a memory chip replaced?

I 'acquired' a 128k that has a bad RAM chip at position G6 on the mainboard... or so the Sad Mac says... I've been looking for a 128k mainboard to see what I could scavange, but no luck as of yet...

It did come with the original software and ImageWriter, though...

Find a replacement 4164 64K RAM chip

You should be able to swap out the bad RAM chip with a generic replacement part. A quick internet search brings up:

http://www.smcelectronics.com/CMEMORY.HTM

They seem to list 64Kx1 DRAMs down at the bottom of the web page. I'm not sure what speed the original parts are, but you should be good with the 100ns part. Of course, you don't have the cool Apple logo stamped on the chip.....

Just a thought

Puzzled

I don't understand the previous poster's sig:

» wether it seems it or not, we're all dreaming.

Is this some obscure Philip K Dick reference that is beyond my cultural reference? In UK English, a wether is a castrated ram (male sheep)...
