I just repalced the mother board on my Beige G3 after which it failed to power up. The scroll, caps and num lights came on and remained on flickering slighty after which they went off but the unit still did not power on. I checked all of the connections and everything seems OK as far as I can tell. Does anyone have any experience in resolving this issue? Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: the reason I say this, is if the CPU does not work, nothing works. that means no lights or anything else. If the PSU is faulty and is putting out the wrong voltages, it can keep a board half-working...
The PSU worked prior to the installation of the new mother board. The num lock, cap lock, and scroll lock lights will come on and flicker for some time and shut down but the G3 will not power up.
Have you checked the power supply jumper on the replacement board?
if you dont know, the jumper is located beside the last pci slot. if you look really hard you will see "ps2" and "mac". which ever one the jumper is in, put it in the other. this should fix your issue. if not, then there is something i cant help you with and you might need to call a preist.

Are you sure the board is an exact replacement for the original? I once tried installing a 266MHz board from a desktop unit into a MT case (also a 266MHz machine) and found that the two had totally different power supply connectors.
