Price check (Australia)

Inspired by the 'This is laughable!' thread, I'm hoping this thread can be a guide to those Australian Apple ][ enthusiasts when it comes to valuation and purchase of vintage hardware and software.

I've had some frustration lately not just from exorbitantly high prices online in general, but from the disconnect between USA listings (where prices are generally lower) and those in Australia, where prices can be skewed higher due to distance or rarity.

Odd Apple II's for Sale

There are currently 3 Apple II's (not Smile on eBay but 2 of them have me a bit suspicious...

That one is from Russia and is VERY clean - but there is no serial number sticker on the bottom case, and the photos don't show the motherboard date. I can't quite tell if its a Rev 3 motherboard or not.

Vulcan 20MB Hard Drive

Lucked out and found a 20MB Applied Engineering Vulcan hard drive (Apple II - not IIGS) on eBay a day or three ago. There is plenty of documentation available online, including disk images, etc.

Now I just need to find a controller card .... (yeah, I know)

There are a couple for sale on eBay but how do I tell if its the right controller? I seem to be finding that the majority of these are targeted at the IIGS and not a II+ which is what I hope to install it in.

Anyone have any experience with these? Or better yet have a controller card squirreled away somewhere?

New Apple II 'Zine doing a "Soft Open."

Mouse systems mouse

Does anyone else have a Mouse Systems A+ mouse Model M2?
One LED lights up on the bottom but it looks like there should be two lights.
