Cheesy I'm doing that right now!

Seriously though, I can find myself in a time warp some nights. I'll just be surfing, or I'll get a great idea that I wanna pursue right away, and it'll end up taking 5 hours, then by the time I look and think about what time it is, it's already morning. That's part of the reason my window's are fully blacked out, when I pull "all nighters" it has to be dark for me to fall asleep.

YES YES!!! That would be me, Mr. Pointless Net Usage be my name, seriously I sit in my dark bedroom just staring at the computer screen until the contrast of computer light versus ambient light almost blinds me...

Wow. I thought I was bad... 12 am is the worst I can do. My cousin however pulls the all-nighters with the best of them. She (*gasp* girl!  Wink) is defanatly a night owl, but not into computers.

If I don't get to sleep by 6 (AM), I'll just stay up the rest of the day, crashing deeply at around 10. It's the only sure way I get back on a somewhat normal schedule.

Last night our Boy Scout troop went to a rock climbing gym for the whole night. We were climbing around at three, four AM. I got about an hour of sleep, left, went to iHop for breakfast, went home, showered, got dressed for church, drank a cup of coffee,  went to confirmation class (not the actual service), stopped at Starbucks for a large cappuchino and went home. And here I am.

Alas, I cannot pull all nighters on the internet since there is about 60ft of house between my room and the Wifi AP in our house. And my dad has had the house wired for speakers. We also have a large painting (my parents are art lovers) made on a sheet of aircraft aluminum (Faraday sheild? You bet!). So unless I get a signal amp, I'm screwed as far as all-nighters in my room go.

meh, I sometimes get small 'bouts of insomnia, where I find that I am unable to sleep for a while.  When this happens, I will kill time by burying myself ears-deep in books, or reading works that never get published in book form (ie, reading books online)

There is no substitute for the printed word, but when it comes to some of the stuff I read, I have to read it online.  One of these days when I get time, and a workhorse of a laser printer, I am going to bind stuff I read online into books, and read it that way.  When I feel I need to laugh at human stupidity, I read bash.

same here ... at which point I ignore it, make a cup of hot chocolate with mini marshmallows in it (or a Tunnock's teacake - try it!), or turn on the light in my room...

Broadband makes it so much faster, but I still can't get everything I want to do done!!

[idea] wouldn't it be amazing if the whole internet was kept on one central global server as opposed to servers all around the world? [/idea]
