Apple II hack sites any?

I'm very dis-appointed that I cannot find any site which teaches Apple II/IIc/IIgs hardware hacks, like memory stuff and upgrades. ANybody have any links to share. I 'm going to house my IIgs into a PC tower and IDE controller 2 floppies. Something someone had done but much better.

Thanks, I've already noticed this site. It's has clear pics but no instructions on how-to and they show just the drives and mobo hookup. Needed is hacking he board itself like speed or ram upgrading. Anything else?

The only way to upgrade the speed on a IIgs is to but a Transwarp IIgs or a ZipGS accellerator Card. On the TranswarpGS you can upgrade the Cache from 8k to 32k. And you can replace the Proc on the card and then speed up the card to 14mhz max. The only way to upgrade the ram is to purchase a memory card that fits in the memory slot. The one i use is the Sirus Ram GS card which can expand your system to 8 mb max. There are no ways you can speed up the gs motherboard unless you build your own gs mb.

Hopefully when all the wrinkles are ironed out of the new Applefritter 2.0 site, we can post up some hack pics and stories there. Looks promising and I'm working on some projects myself.

I, too, would be looking forward to seeing Apple II hacks and upgrades. it's strange that for an Apple site there desn't seem to be any of these kinds of hacks. After all, Apple I, II, // and ///'s were the original Computers that started it all. Maybe we could call it "vintage hacks" or something like that?

Go to the new Applefritter site, check the Apple II forum. I started a thread for Apple II and other older hacks there. Ain't much, but it's a start. Try posting some comments there and it just might get something going. Oh yeah, Pease, I stole your "idea" about "vintage hacks" It made a great title for my thread. Hope you don't mind.

Isn't that what family is for? I'm gonna tell Aunt Nancy that you have been spending too much time playing and not enough time doing other stuff!
