WARNING, gross or offensive content:  Tongue

. . . to those of you who've never lived on a farm anyway . . .  Wink

I've been playing around with the PC Card Cage from the PowerBook 1400c and that sucker would make one fine MouseHac . . . erm . . . trap?

Whatever . . . solder a lever pivot or wire attachment to the ejection arm(s) of the cage as the actuator for a single edged razor blade equip[ped device . . . encase it so no fingers or pets can get in there . . . and . . . :ebc:

You get the idea . . . for the squeemish, I guess one of those cigar thingies could work if anyone who can stomach those atrocities could be considered squeemish. Roll Eyes Anyway, a computerized, razor edged trimming device hack of any kind ought to be original enough!

JUST BE CAREFUL!!!!!!

Uh oh!  Are you saying you had a little ... mishap with the card cage?

Watch out for those things - the suckers are strong and quick.  But I guess you've already discovered that!  Tongue

Interesting.  I've noticed that the PCMCIA card bays on the 190cs are also very aggressive -- they just about lauch cards in to orbit.  Moreover, they are electronicaly controlled by either software or the little eject button next to the bay (the button even works when the machine is off).  I wonder if one could hack an optical-interrupt switch to trigger the bay to fire when the offending varmit passes the bay?

And with two PCMCIA card bays in the 190cs, you have two chances to kill the mouse. Shocked Cool
