What are the specifications of the 6500's IDE bus? Does it support drives larger than 8.2 gigabytes? I'd really like to use a 12GB drive in my Takky without buying an ATA66 PCI card...

Should be fine.  I know there have been a couple people who've put something like 40GB drives in theirs.

I've hung a 12.7GB Quantum Bigfoot TS off a 5500 in a 5200 case.  It worked just fine IIRC.  I'll have to see if it works with the original 5200 MLB or the 5300 & 5400 MLBs I've got all over.

The limit is 128Gb - enough for most purposes!  ;-)
