Apple II Plus Serial number question...

I just picked up a working Apple II Plus, that is in excellent condition.

It is a rev 04 MB and the Serial number is about 10000. Just curious if this is considered a low serial for this version.

Thanks,
R

Apple is notorious for Swapping Parts and Pieces when machines came in for warranty repair..

The Case Serial Number is ~10,000.. What is the Date on the Mother Board, what is the Date on the bottom of the Keyboard, what is the Power Supply Serial Number???

I own an Apple ][+, that has a Rev-1 Motherboard, but is Serial Number 101011 ( See My Page, Apple Stuff from 10+ years ago has been rediscovered ) My Apple ][ seems to be ALL Original, because ALL the Serial Numbers match up with other Units built in the same Time Period...

Re: Apple II Plus Serial number question...

So I had a closer look.

The MB is Rev04. I don't see anything else on the board, except a Stamped Number on the top left corner. it says 7939.

The Power Supply Serial Number is 59741

The Sticker on the bottom, is White with Green writing. SERIAL NO. A2S2 10735 nothing else.

Keyboard is mint! I have not taken it apart yet.

Thanks,
R

Re: Apple II Plus Serial number question...

The "7939" is a date code when the board is produced - 39-th week of 1979.

I have Apple ][ Plus #03207 (green on white label) - the board is rev.4 and the date code is 7930. The keyboard power light is raised. My PSU is replaced.
I have seen at least two other ][ Plus on eBay with similar numbers (within few hundred from mine) and date codes and keyboards are similar.
So your board should be original for the computer.
