Re: early Apple II ?

I might do the restoration for the owner... since i have all the needed components for that. The Computer does not start and i suspect that the PSU is 110V. Since we have 220V in Germany, the PSU might be completely burned ...

It looks like a early Rev. 0 board. The PSU was heavily modified to allow 220V. Some mainboard modifications were made as well. Very interesting specimen Blum 3 ... how did it end up in Germany? I hope i will get the job to restore the computer.

Any more pictures or info stynx? The silk screen on top of the power supply + the serial # indicates you have a very early Apple II Rev 0.

What does the keyboard look like?

More Pictures!!!!

Remember that you could basically turn an Apple ][ into an Apple][+ by replacing the ROMs. Of course the Rev-0 Motherboards have issues that were fixed in Rev-01, like the Chroma fix in Text Mode, so you would miss out on some of the features expected in the Apple ][+..

I have an Apple ][ with a Rev-03 board and a 110/220 Volt power supply.. I would look to see if one of those could be rebuilt for it...

Re: early Apple II ?

The owner had put the Apple II originally on eBay without knowing much about it. I contacted her and informed her, that the Computer might be very rare. She later sent me some pictures of the serials i posted here. The owner is not really sure what to do now. I offered her a complete restoration with 100% original parts, but i think it just too much right now. I gave her the advice to take the computer and the components to a dry environment (it was originally located the basement) and think about it.

Stynx,

It looks to me like an updated Original II.
I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.
It really is nice.

Yep.. It appears to be a Rev-0 Apple ][, with Modded Power Supply, an Apple ][+ Keyboard ( and the original keyboard ) and an Apple ][+ lid..

And some extra cards and original Drives with the Rainbow Ribbon Cables..

Re: early Apple II ?

Nice find. But neither the installed or loose keyboard are the original. On a rev.0 machine with such a low serial number the original keyboard would have been the style with the exposed edge connector. But still, having the original PSU, motherboard, and bottom panel with the A2S1 serial number makes this a treasure for sure. Here's hoping it cleans up well in the hands of its new owner! Let us know what happens with it.
