Fujitsu M25 12A driver

Hi
I'm trying to find a driver for the fujitsu m25 12A optical drive. Another member had the same problem some time ago and their post

is at : http://www.applefritter.com/cgi-bin/YaBB/YaBB.pl?board=other;action=display;num=1048617053

His name was Sincil. Did he you find any solution? I have an 8100 Apple. I need basically to transfer my optical discs to a memory stick or hard drive.

Thanks

Re: Fujitsu M25 12A driver

I have a large number of MO drives/disks/MO disks in storage. I know some are LaCie, not sure if a Fujitsu is there. I have all the driver disks that go with them. Let me look this evening when I get home (stop at storage unit on way) and I will let you know what I have if anything that may help. I know APS had software that would work on many drives. Checkout MacGUI. Perhaps there is some software there that can help.

Never tried it with an MO Drive but LIDO was always the go to app for anything SCSI.

I know it is available for download at MacGUI and elsewhere.

Edit:

Here is the Link for the version 7.5.6 of LIDO.

Formatter One Pro is listed as a Third Party Solution on the Fujitsu Website along with other software. Perhaps you can find one of those to download.

Silverlining Pro from LaCie is a potential winner for you too. I know it obviously works on LaCie drives but it was a bit of a do-it-all software that may work for you.

Diskfit Direct is listed as backup software compatible with the drive, so perhaps that can be used to backup your disks to another medium.

I never actually used MO drives myself. Went from floppies to Hard Drives and Zip disks back in the day. Got these MO drives/disks when I bought a whole slew of Old Mac stuff early this year. They all work, I just have not spent time beyond the initial testing and had no plans to mess with them till the winter.

What System version are you running? I can test some of the software on various systems to tell you what works and what does not. Don't have a G4 MDD anymore but have enough machines to test any version of the system.

Neill, sorry for the long delay. I finally found all the MO stuff I have. Did you have any luck or should I hook them up and see what drivers/software allows me to see/use them?

I do not have a fujitsu MO drive but at least I can narrow down some software options that work with a couple different drives.

Any luck Neill??

I found a USB Fujitsu DYNA MO 640 SE in the original box with all the accoutrements in my stash. Comes with the CDs as Well. The USB "Formatter One Pro SE for Mac OS" disk plus Windows 98 Drivers for PC as well as the DOS Mounter and Mac Mounter CD.

Not sure if they would work for you but I would be glad to make a disk image of them and forward them to you.
