Forgive me for asking this question but I can't seem to figure out your point...?
This actually look real to me; I remember something like this came up a few years ago.
If you're referring to the backpack, not all of them came with it; the RFI II+ models however should have one.
Anyone notice the SIXTEEN THOUSAND dollar 1977 Apple II up for sale?
If you are so competent to answer that question would you tell us the size of the Liron's card data buffer? Hint: it is not larger than that of the Disk II controller card!
The tech aspects of these cards and drives are new to me. The SuperDrive card does buffering, how much? Could be megabytes, could be a few registers.
Yea... It was mentioned on the Apple ][ Enthusiasts FaceBook Group..
But, the Shipping is Very Reasonable, for such a Large, Classic, Retro Computer..

Yup. That should go for $20-$25 at the maximum.
The $16,000 Apple II has a low serial number.
What is not so laughable (and reasonable) is that the Liron cards are coming down in price. One moved at $76.00 And I picked one up just a few days ago for $50.00, and it "included" a //e enhancement kit.
Keatah,
Is that the one that was priced at $40.00 for both?
insanitor,
The only point I was trying to make was the fact that the Liron Cards are more accessible.
Steven
I believe so. Saw it, and I was on it like dots on dice and fur on mice. There, that sounds better.
Oh, this seller strikes back:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-5-Disk-Superdrive-Unidisk-Controller-Card-Apple-IIe-IIgs-sealed-New-in-Box-a-/191616509784
And one ugly yellowish drive overpriced several times:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-A9M0106-External-800k-3-5-Floppy-Disk-Drive-/311306983034
This happens... Moral of the story, pay attention.
This Apple iie looks strange to me.

Made me LOL.

Ha! Same guy is asking $750 for a regular apple IIgs... Yet he gives away an Apple II for only $75 lol.
Ohh boy! I'm all hot and bothered! Because the SuperDrive Controller is listed at $995.00 I bet I could get at least $1,495.00 for the ones I have. Just have to wait for a dry spell and some flunky to make a sale.
Obviously an Apple ][ with an earlier case, might even be a Rev-0, with Old Power supply, but we have no idea...

But it's, New In Box.... See.. Shiny.... Clean.... New...
But everyone needs a Big, Tall, Bulky, Classic Looking, Color Mac. It's just Like the Original 128K Mac, But BIGGER, and in Color!!!
Look!!! It was re-listed, ( or used the same pictures, but since it didn't sell... ) for the Original Price!!!
Was, $249.00, discounted to $209.16, NOW back to $249.00!!
You would think if it Didn't Sell at $249.00, and it Didn't Sell at $209.16, you might try something like, $149.00..
MarkO
Hello Mark,
just one mistake - you still trust in normal functional sanity of ebay sellers.....
you must instead trust in insanity.....
then you will understnad that it´s logic - now that it hasn´t been sold at that price
the seller must believe he has been offering the item far tooo cheap....
of course the next offer must target above 1000 bucks !
LOL

Steven
Sounds good to me!
Well I think I can help here a little....
I was the lucky person who bought that gem for $75.00
It is an Apple II, early power supply, early keyboard and case - but the motherboard had been swapped out sometime in it's lifetime.
Now I am looking for an mid-late 1979 motherboard to make it complete again. If anybody has one they would consider selling for less than my firstborn, please drop me a PM.
Jennifer
ps: If anybody wants I can post pics of the components.
Yes, please Post Pictures...
All Serial Numbers, and how new is the Motherboard and how old is the Power Supply, Toggle Switch, or the One that Breaks Easily????
You will need to start a new thread to Attach Images...

Good evening All,
Well, I really have nothing new to report on.
There are several Apple II units for auction on eBay,
but the only one that caught my attention is the
$16,000.00 Buy It Now unit that is still there.
I emailed the seller as the pictures are so large that
you cannot see anything but the edges.
There is another Seller "Borntosell" that is auctioning off
various and sundry Apple II software items, but his prices for a single
card (I mean a paper insert for a software package) is so high
that no one is buying them.
I understand that it is for charity, but I think that he is
shooting himself in the foot asking so much for one insert.
Has anyone seen other items I may have missed?
Steven
That seller is got a carton of stuff from the sound editor of mork & mindy, whom also did a lot of reviews BITD. IIRC??
He seems to be halving the prices every two weeks. Eventually they will get low enough so as to be reasonable.
Keatah,
That's what I figure is going to happen too.
Steven
Hi Steven.
So that $16,000 unit has come up three times on eBay that I know of.
MB Date Serial
2234 1962 Y $16,000.00 (Current auction price)
2234 1962 Y $7,800.00 (Sold for $7,800.00 see: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Early-Production-Apple-II-Computer-1977-era-Serial-A2S1-1962-Motherboard-2234-/251915715865?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3aa758c519)
2234 1962 Y ~$5,000.00 (Can't find the auction)
1978AppleII,
Yep, That one has been up several times. lol
I know the price now is BIN $16k OBO
I wonder what the "Best Offer" will be?
Steven
This guy is out of his Freekin' Mind!:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/331605036274?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
$1900.00 for a IIe???
What is he thinking?
Steven
... and someone actually paid 1k for an AppleColour 100 monitor today.
And this was "tested" this way!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-APPLE-IIe-Two-5-25-Disks-Manual-80-Col-exp-Card-/281720908680
If they realy hit the poweron switch at the rear with the
80 col inserted that way they might have got a good chance
to kill the IOU chip and / or the MMU chip ! It´s allways
encouraging when viewing guys that work at the junkyard
start running a computer..... i guess we´ll see the customer
of that deal soon in this board seeking for repair advice....
LOL
I was wrong...
The other guy is completely sane compared to this guy:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/161762811221?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Of course there is going to be some poor soul who thinks
"Gee, it's expensive! It must be worth twice what I pay for it!"
And sure enough, he'll shell out the $3500.00 for a $130.00 computer and some accessories.
Poor Bastard.
Steven
While participating in other classic computing forums over the years; it has been said repeatedly that the Apple II gang is the worst at creating and maintaining "proper" and "centralized" archives.
I bring that up because a sizable amount of good documentation and original disks are being sold now on fleabay. Albeit significantly overpriced. It's a complete and utter shame none of those are likely to be properly scanned and archived.
And if I had the time I would work with the seller to create some sort of package deal and move them in a single lot.
Hello Keatah,
i´ve contacted several times such sellers at fleabay asking
politly if they would be willing to preserve that informatin to any of the
existing sites. Unfortunatly it turns out that most of the sellers
at fleabay don´t bother a single cent about that point.....
besides this has also been a topic here in the forum:
http://www.applefritter.com/content/information-heritage-what-have-you-done-preserve-valuable-information
and this thread has remained in silence now for months (?) years (?)......
sincerely speedyG
..
Good Evening All,
I present to you another FrankenApple II
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-1977-Apple-II-Computer-Serial-0376-Apple-II-Disk-Drive-Serial-032-/111719071000?ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123
An Apple II Shell with II Plus inards.
Steven
The seller is super nice, I contacted them and told them that pretty much everything was upgraded except for the case and the drive... He is the original owner, and had forgotten that he had the power supply replaced (along with the keyboard and motherboard) long ago.
I suspect he will update the listing. The documentation that he has however is pretty special... Anybody else see that and start drooling?
Jennifer
I saw the serial on the Disk II and started drooling.
Ditto!
Seller has pulled the auction, likely to separate out the documentation from the FrankenApple...
Jennifer
Good evening All,
Had to share this one.
I just can't stop laughing!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Circa-1982-Softporn-Adventure-User-Guide-Charles-Benton-Sierra-On-Line-Apple-II-/331611654231?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d35984857
There's not even a disk to go with it! LOL
Steven
The $3000.00 Apple II went today.
Whomever bought it did a "Best Offer" on it.
Steven
Maybe it comes with a few girls?
I seem to recall that SoftPorn was the first porno game ever on any micro. I've never seen the docs or the disk listed cheap either.
Keatah,
The software has been listed several times in the last year on eBay,
but the price has been over $150.00 and it didn't interest me.
I'm more of an RPG, Techno, and Utilities guy. lol
Steven
Yes. As far as ready-made software goes on the II series I get interested in modem & text utilities, disk utilities, and single-load single-file action games mostly.
My interests change from time to time and in 6 months the above will have morphed into something else for a while.
You all will just LOVE this:
