Interesting that this thread returned from the dead. The Raspberry Pi 2 has just been released (I've ordered one), now with a quad-core processor.
Roughly 6x faster than the Pi B, it should make a great emulation platform.
My Pi B wasn't too bad for some emulation, but my emulation mainstays - the Atari ST and GameBoy Advance - were just too slow on it. So the Pi has been my low-power file server for almost a year now.
Yeah (raises hand), it was me. I'm the reason. I just thought it was so darned neat, and was sort of stoked being back here and exploring.
