In earlier versions, it enabled telnet, but I believe it's now ssh-only.

You might also be interested in the Remote Desktop option, which in Tiger includes a VNC server, so that you can use free software like Chicken of the VNC to graphically control your computer over a network, or even (assuming any necessary NAT/firewall traversal is set up) the Internet.

I asked this becoues covnc was not working but I got it to
work and not I can pretend i onw a xp laptop or a desktop
