worth of a lcd iMac

at my local compusa, they have sitting back in storage some old macs inculding a still in box G4 lcd iMac, and a purple crt iMac, im considering buying it off of them for a bargain basement price, (they want to get rid of it) and i want try to get it for $500. what is the worth of one of these machines?

P.S. its all there: box,keyboard,mouse, and machine and has been sitting in a box for a couple of years.

It really depends on the specifications of the imac. Do you know the speed, amount of ram, hd space, screen size, etc...?

i know nothing about the machine other than they never sold it and it has been sitting in the back of the store for three or so years, it being long replaced by the shiny new intel iMacs that sit in tis place.

Going by the average ebay and craigslist prices I'd guess that the lowest model imac g4 flat panel (17" 700mhz) would be worth around $400-$500. The best thing to do is find out the specs of the imac.
