Change the silver to a Cobalt Blue and That would look cool..

Thats almost exactly what I d

Thats almost exactly what I did with my DA
except I did mine in white. Make sure you take everything off that is going to be painted and do a good job with prep, primer etc. If you are going to paint. The front and back look pretty cool if you give them a gloss finish.

painting

yeah gloss black is the plan with krylon fusion so that no primer will be necessary I plan to put the black paint on the inside of acrylic to achive that ultimate deep black mirror look the buttons chromed the apple still undecided anyway will keep every body updated with pictures and progress when I start painting hey i came up with another possible theme see below

and for the coblat blue fan

hi there

hi there, interesting concept for a paint job!! would totally rock out

Now...
I like the idea of using a color like red, blue, or whatever on the apple logo. As a design guy I think that if you use an accent color somewhere in your color scheme you should carry it into a couple of the other details too-- like the power and reset buttons,cd-rom button, or the transparent handles it would really kick it up a notch Smiling this makes your eye kinda say, "ok, this color belongs here"

If you're looking for transparent paint there's a couple of ibook mods here on applefritter that use stuff you could use.

chris501's picture

any news on your paint job?

is there any result already? i would really like to see the finished product!

soundexcess's picture

Looks pretty nice. One detail that I noticed that seeems a bit off is that the screws on the side panels are plain. You might try a P-Shop edit to see what it would look like if you had gone over the screw heads with the red paint.
