latest happenings....

actually its not going to be an aio when im done but im using all the guts from one except the crt. i managed to get mine apart today and make it work with only the essentials, including the personality card and internal speakers. im using my B&W's ati rage 16mb card for the sake of not having to buy a video adapter and more graphic power. today was the first time ever that i managed to get OSX 10.0 to install and actually boot. this machine has givin me so many problems since i got it, hey it was free for a reason! lol. one thing i did change which seems to help it is swap the IDE channels, before i was getting open firmware errors almost every other boot. it has always booted os9 but never 10. i remember seeing somewhere the basic settings for XpostFactor to install panther, but i cant find them. all in all its basically a G3 desktop machine running off AIO power supply and has powered speakers. its odd how they built that machine let me tell ya!!! for now ive just got it in parts on the floor running to see how stable it is. basically my plan is to get a 14" LCD and use this at work, kinda build it into the desk ive made on the wall. my main job is to install car audio, and alot of the time i need to look up diagrams online and the such, but as of late my dell laptop is no longer with me and my powerbook just doesnt have the power it should. the install garage isnt very wide, so thats why i need to have LCD and get the machine out of the way.

Lately, its odd as heck, the keyboard on my lombard is acting up. i can be typing and then the cursor will move to another spot, select and delete some text and start typing again! i unplugged the internal track pad thinking it was clicking when it shouldnt be, but it still happens. there was even a day when i couldnt use the keyboard and had to plug in an external one or it wouldnt boot, it acted like a button was stuck down.

well i finnally got panther on the AIO. the IDE must have been the problem with it this whole time, because i had no trouble installing it this time. Xpost Rules.
