A/UX Install problems

680x0 Macs and Lisa
I have a Quadra 950 w 100 meg ram ans 2 4gb hd and a Apple 12x SCSI cdrom. It boots off the AU/X floppy then starts on the install process but then it freezes and the video gets corrupted. The video is fine when it is still booting off the floppy. I am using a VGA monitor with an vga adaptet and stock video.
Any Ideas?
