my disk drive cannot read any disk

my disk since change connector to 20pin,it was damage,when i inserted disk.just listen to da da da and red light it never turn off,or insert disk apple2 show -cannot read disk on line,disk drive clean many times,I want to know can I repair it is?thx

Disk cannot read...

Sounds like you either damaged the drive when making
the conversion, or you got the pinout wrong when you
made the conversion. Either way you should have it
checked out by a tech. There is a possibility that if
you got the pinout wrong and you attempted to run this
drive, you MAY have damaged the controller.

Hope not.
