I recently installed Ubuntu on my G4 for the heck of it. Well my case speaker works but I get no sound from my sound card. Ubuntu's sound menu doesn't seem to notice it. Any Ideas on how I could get my sound card working. Music isnt fun through a 2" speaker Smile

debian has a ton of apps and

debian has a ton of apps and drivers listed on their site available for download. ubuntu should have their own list, or at least be able to access debian (considering they're both gnome systems). see if you can find a driver for your card on either ubuntu.com or debian.org. with debian on my pc, i can run "sudo apt-get install (app name)" in the terminal, and it'll download it. i'm actually having a similar problem with my usb speakers and debian. same went when i had ubuntu. sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.
