adt another question

recently,I repaired my disk drive.now it is ok.so I used adt.I wanted to transfer .adk to my 5.25 disk.but I fail,when it show test format.disk drive red lamp on.but it stopped.I have question is.when it test format.I should format disk before[target disk]?can it use dos format 5.25 disk or dos 3.3.how to do it?thanks

Yes, you need to format the target disk before you have ADT write an image to it.

Steps:
1. Boot your ADT disk.
2. Quit ADT. (Remove the ADT boot disk.)
3. Insert your target disk.
4. type INIT HELLO
5. When done, swap the ADT disk back in the drive and BRUN ADT.
6. Take your ADT disk back out and insert your blank disk.

Now try your transfer!

hi go on asking

I used your way in the website.but I still have problems.disk has
formatted.and this adt it shows awaiting answer from host.and it was
stopped.when I see the screen select d or s or r.I type "r"and ask the
files name.you can see the transfer folder inside right?then it show
awaiting from host and stopped.what is notice and careful?thx

Tell me more about your Apple II computer, and the serial connection to the "modern" computer. It sounds like there isn't a good connection between them...
