... but the best is yet to come.

Apple II

Greetings Apple II fellow forum members

This post is a follow-up to my other post about Apple II games' ending screenshots.
Instead of having a screen ending here's a video intro with audio of a classic Apple II shoot 'em up game :
A.E. by Jun Wada and Makoto Horai. Broderbund, 1983.
You will need flash plug-in for your browser to watch these.
(Click on either screenshots to watch video)

Hope you like it!
More to come - requests are welcome but not guaranteed :-)

I remember that...

I had the Atari version, but the screens look the same, with perhaps a slight difference in the fonts.

I still get one level's intro music stuck in my head every now and again (like it will be for the rest of the day now, thank you Grin ).

Here is another Apple II game with a memorable intro melody : Chivalry (by Hefter & Worthington : Optimum Resources, 1983)!

The way it started had me not

The way it started had me not hoping for much but when the music kicked in it the tie in was actually not bad.

A more direct link to the video maker is: http://www.stewdio.org/jed/

EDIT: And that's why they sound familiar, Grandaddy had a song in 28 Days Later.

EOA Bonanza!

Here are three classic "creme de la creme" Apple II Electronic Arts computer games : Archon, Archon II: Adept, and The Bard's Tale. All have great intros and music. The Bard's Tale intro is keenly animated with the minstrel singing the Skara Brae tale while playing his mandolin and is a personal favorite of mine. Enjoy!

Who you gonna call ?

Surely everyone remembers this cool game opening :-)
This is rather a long clip : full 4-minute sing-along music video of the theme song by Ray Parker Jr. Apple II game by Activision, 1984.

Happy Holidays Apple II Enthusiasts!
