I have recently purchased a g4 quicksilver 867mhz tower. (WooHoo!!!) I used to use a 500mhz g3 imac until this purchase. I had a partitioned 40 gig HDD that I would dual boot OS 9/X. I pulled it out and put it in the quicksilver, and now no dual boot...any ideas why?

Do both systems show up in St

Do both systems show up in Startup Disk? I assume it's OS 9 that doesn't boot, right? Maybe Santa will leave DiskWarrior under the tree.

Which version of OS 9 is it?

Which version of OS 9 is it? You'll likely only be able to boot 9.2.2, since that was one of the last OS 9 booting Macs.

(Actually, I suppose I shouldn't assume it's OS 9 that's the problem, but you don't specify.)

actually os 9 is the problem.

actually os 9 is the problem. it is 9.1, and I use it because it is compatible with my iomega external cdrw. should I download the update and see if it works? can I update it without opening os9? it wont even open in classic mode...
