PCMCIA (PC Card) Media Readers

Would something like this work in a 3400 or Pismo or would it need drivers? On XP USB versions are automatically found as 'Mass Storage Devices'. Does OS 9 or X work that way?

It says Windows is required but I am thinking that is only for the 'fancy stuff'. My PC Card Compact Flash reader works without drivers on my 3400 but CF is just a smaller version of PCMCIA isn't it?

if the USB mass storage exten

if the USB mass storage extension in OS 9.x is installed it should work (mount) by just plugging it in.

there probably is a few readers that are incompatible with working on OS 9.x but i don't have that sort of info to help you.
