When starting up my IIgs and booting GS/OS, and it responds -
Unable to load START.GS.OS file. Error=$0027
It was working fine today and all the sudden won't boot anymore except it will boot from a 5.25 inch disk. Please help, I can't believe it's not booting!

Did you do ANYTHING in the system folder the last time you had GS/OS running? I ask this as it's possible to inadvertently move a file that GS/OS needs to run and thus make it unable to boot the next time you start it. You could try booting the GS using the Install disk, that way you'll start to find out if it's the disk or the computer that is the problem.

I didn't touch or move a thing in the system folder though!
Try tapping the disk on the corrner of a table. That is on its edge.
Hold between 2 fingers and let slide down to a table. Works sometimes.
The disk went bad, Happens sometimes. All it takes is a block.
The drives head became dirty. Hey it is old.
Ramdisk set to high? Should be set to Zero from the control pannel.
