Another Try at Dolling Up a Lombard

I know it's been done to death, but it's my turn to try it. I'm looking at getting artistic on a Lombard. I know the Wallstreets have a metal panel under the rubber, is it the same with Lombard and Pismo?

I think I would be using that Krylon Fusion on it, would that work without removing the rubber layer?

What ever you do, don't try to remove the rubber from your Lombard. There is no aluminum plate under it!!

but if you look through some of the mod pages you can find some very nice pictures of painted powerbooks.

I know it's not rubber all the way through, I presume it's plastic under there? Will paint stick properly to the rubber?

Paint....

As an art teacher of mine once said, it's all about surface preparation as to whether or not paint will stick to a surface. There are some model paints made especially to stick to plastic, but I don't know for sure about the Lombard "rubber." If I were you, I would take my powerbook to a Hobby Lobby or something and barrage someone who works their with questions.
