Powermac G3 B&W Mac OS 9 install CD won't boot

Hello again. I'm having problems getting my Powermac G3 to boot form an OS 9 CD. I have never had this problem before but all the sudden it happened. So if some one could give me some advice that would be great. Smiling

Isn't this the same problem you were having a few months ago in this thread here?

Let's start by going through that thread and trying the things folks suggested there.

» 24 Macs running System 6 thru Leopard
5 PCs running Windows (3.1 thru XP Pro), Ubuntu and Fedora
Apple IIe, Apple IIgs, Color OneScanner, QuickTake 150
Black iPod nano 1G 4GB, purple iPod shuffle 1GB

Nope it is totally different. My HD is dieing. So never mind about this thread its not important. It will spin up and then just stop. And you can hear it too. Its loud. But that makes sense because the computer is almost 8 years old. So I guess I'll find a new HD.
