help finding power mac G4 model type

I got this power mac 4 from a friend and i cant seem to find what type of model it is. It has an agp graphics slot, 4 ram slots not 3, 400 mhz processor, microphone and speaker horizontal on the i/o board. its an older model, not the quicksilver type. the family number is m5183. I wanted to see if i could upgrade the processor and what type of processors would fit. I was going to upgrade the 10 gb harddrive and i already upgraded the cd drive to a dvd rw drive.

You've most likely got a Sawt

You've either got a Sawtooth G4 (more likely), or a Gigabit (which will have a heatsink somewhere near the ethernet port).
Both take the same upgrades for processor, drives, etc.

You can compare specs here, and MacSales will let you choose upgrades my Mac model.

While you can upgrade the processor, you might also want to compare the cost of your planned upgrades vs. the cost of buying a later G4 model on ebay.
As I've said here before, buying a 733 or 800 MHz Digital Audio or later G4 will surpass the speed of a 1 GHz CPU upgrade on the slower bus of the Sawtooth/Gigabit systems.
