AF browsing problems

Im not sure if its just me or not, but i've been having a lot of problems with certain pages on applefritter taking forever to load. For instance if I click a button from the main page to view the forums which would take you to www.applefritter.com/forum then it doesnt want to load if however i type in www.applefritter.com/forum/85 (just an example not sure which forum that is) then it will take me right there. I have been having this problem on several of my machines running multiple operating systems and browsers and nothing seems to work better. So i guess my question is have other people been having the same issues?

The main forum listing (applefritter.com/forums) has always taken longer to load; it's not just you. I believe it has to do with the database query, but BDub would be better able to explain.

It just seems to me that it is getting worse, sometimes i cant even get the main forum page to load at all.
