3.5" HD floppys

I am currently using 1.4mb HD floppy disks, leftovers from the pc, formatted as 800k ProDOS disks. Any problem doing this ? They seem to init ok. I seem to remember reading sometime in the past, this could lead to data loss. Any validity ?

Some people have had problems using the HD 3.5 disks formatted for 800k on an Apple IIGS. I've been doing it for years, first using the old Compuserve and AOL free starter disks and then other HD 3.5 disks that were given to me. I've never had any trouble with it.
