If Openstep is licenced (geez

If Openstep is licenced (geeze, I do *not* know NeXT, sorry), then yeah, it is illigal. Think of it this way: do you think that if you said in a court of law that "it was old, the company doesn't exist any more," is going to stand? Unless it's copyright was expired (which happens what, after 50, 100 some odd years? The only thing that comes close to that is Unics which is 40 some odd years old), it is still illigal to download. Shure, nobody is probably going to care, you may be fine with it moraly, but it is still breaking the law.

From my understanding if you

From my understanding if you have a NeXT box it is legal to download the software for it. As the license is included with the machine. In fact for some reason I am thinking that Apple had it available for download.

But then again I don't have the best memory so I may be wrong.

At apple

I'm pretty sure I saw that in the older software downloads page at apple.com.
