I finally spotted an animated whatchamacallit. Is there any way I can upload my animated PogoHamsters TM?

What was it you call those things over your UserID, anyway? :?

My brain's not firing on all cylinders quite yet and having dysnomia is the PITS! Tongue

I think the correct term is "Avatar", which is a picture or animation that is used to represent someone on the net. I am not sure if you can do it, but I think Dr Clu did it. You might need to host it off of a website to do it, otherwise, you may need to figure out how to crop it. It should be in your account manager on avatars so you can upload it.

Good Luck!

"Aviator" if you're on an aircraft forum ;D

Mine's hosted here.

Go to My Account on the menu to the left. Select the Edit tab, and you'll see below an option to browse for your avatar. Or aviator. I remember testing an animated Henry Kissinger for Doug-Doug the Mighty, so I know it will accept animated gifs.

For avatars, the maximum dime

For avatars, the maximum dimensions are 85x85 pixels and the maximum size is 30 KB.

PogoHamsters Rev. 2.0?

Thanks Doc. I think they already meet those criteria. If not I'll re-animate the lil' buggers in the case that you've reduced the maximum allowances from those of the old forum.

Shaving off just a lil' bit . . .

. . . looks like they're a pixel too wide/high and a the file's a little too large. I'll have to figure it out and maybe reduce the bit depth.

That's if it's not ALREADY at rock bottom for the color table. :Smile

Gotta get the new G4 Dual 1 MHz MDD up & runnin' first though! Laughing out loud

p.s. Doc, just out of curiosity, is your avatar of some significance, MacQuarium-Wise or other?
