im looking for some printer server software that i can run on my quadra 660av. has to be free i don't want to have to pay for it.....

A further missing point is from what devices do you wish to print. If it's a Linux box, there are LPD options. If it's a Mac, there may be free options built into the Mac OS.

Information.....
the printer(s) that i want to use is my new and old printer, they are:
- Apple LaserWriter 4/600 PS
- Epson stylus CX8400
instead of using my quadra 660av i can use my Power Mac G4 because the new one requires USB
Hi, Ken,
First, I just wanted to point out that you posted your request in "PowerPC Macs", but the Qyadra 660av is obviously not a PowerPC Mac.
Second, server software depends a lot on (1) what printer you want to use, and (2) what protocols you wish to serve.
As a general rule, most printers are shareable via Mac OS without extra software, but I suppose if that were the case for you, you wouldn't be asking.
So what printer do you have?
