Question: not sure if the problems with the disk drive or the game

So I just came around a great deal on a IIe Platinum fully loaded for $7. This is my second IIe because my old IIe was in Puerto Rico and my parents wouldnt ship it and said the same thing why the hell do you want an old computer. Being 10 at the time I had to follow their rules. I bought Ultima IV online and a disk drive. Im not sure if its the game or the drive which is not functioning. It keeps on freezing on the same location and keeps on making the same sound. Im posting a vid on Youtube and ill post a link for it when its done uploading

Your drive is fine. You coul

Your drive is fine. You could clean the head and check the drive speed, but the rest of that disk loads without any trouble. I suspect the floppy itself.

Thanks, Im trying to contact

Thanks, Im trying to contact the seller who sold me the disks but still no response, and he said they were tested and working. The guy who sold me the disk drive gave me immediate response and told me he could send me another drive but it seems my drive is fine. Biggrin

For all intents and purposes, it is working. It boots and gets going. Unless the seller were to go through the entire game, I think you got a disk that works to the extent that we could expect anyone to test.

You have the originals; you might just go ahead and make modern copies from disk images.
