a mannquien Macintosh Quadra 605 person
hi. i have decided that since i got a Quadra 605 macintosh for $10 with everything from a guy who had too many computers on saturday, may 29th, that i would make a mannquien standup macintosh person. any ideas about what type of mannquien to use - i was planning on using the ones that they use in stores, if i can get them with heads, arms, and legs. it would be a neat idea as when i install the speechtalk functions on my computer, and use simpletext, i could make it appear that it was talking. thank you very much.
I'm going to keep the Quadra inside its case and it inside of a mannequin thus giving the appearance of a mannequin, but one that will talk via Plaintalk. I don't know how to make it listen. It would have to be female, as that's the only voice i have.

i would strip the case off ... you can be more creative/flexible with the positioning insite the "body" then
TOM
If it's a female maniquin, make it look like the android Rachel Rosen from Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.
nah...
i plan on making it look like hayley mills probably from the movie 'the chalk garden' made in 1964, or as the daughter of tres in the movie Gundam Wing - Endless Waltz (watched that this morning).
also, any ideas where to get plans to make your own mannequin?
thanks Barry. perfect solution - inexpensive, easy (i hope), and not too much work - about a week once i get everything. anyone if they get the chance, check out the site Barry suggested, and note any tips or tricks you may have to share. thanks.
Here's a few somethings along the lines of what you're planning:

Do you mean you ar going to gut the Quadra and place the components inside of a mannequin? - thus giving the appearance of a mannequin, but one that will listen and talk via Plaintalk?
