iMac ide adapter / laptop ide to standard full size ide
Hi All,
I bought the wrong adapter by mistake (ment to by atapi to ide). For sale is a brand new adapter which converts latop ide to standard ide.
£5 posted anywhere...as thats what I payed for it.

Yes, atapi is ide. Even so the connector is different. I want to convert an atapi conector into a standard full size ide connector.
If you dont understand...thing of a mini jack to phono adapter...they carry the same data, but the form factor is different.
You mean you want a laptop-style IDE/ATAPI/ATA to desktop-style IDE/ATAPI/ATA adapter?
ATAPI = ATA Packet Interface, a way of encapsulating SCSI style commands over the IDE/ATA bus. It is nothing more that a software standard, not a hardware connector standard.

I am not sure why you were looking for an ATAPI to IDE adapter since they are the same thing. ATAPI is IDE...IDE is ATAPI. What exactily are you trying to do?
