Debian/Linux
Hi all
I wanted to try Debian or Linux (not sure if they are different or the same). Anyway Where can I download the OS? I have found the odd site but It is always torrents, and strange mirrors but I cant find a direct download link... Help in this matter would be much appreciated...
Oh by the way I am a beginner in this OS...
Yes I plan to run it either on an SE/30 or a CC... What is my best bet then? I have access to a PC with BitTorrent installed, will that work?
http://www.linuxiso.org/
Lots of linux distros, with links to the respective distributor sites...
CM
While Debian is a fine OS in it's own right, alot can be said for running NetBSD on old Macs. Debian is a distro of the GNU/Linux collection of software. Debian is Linux, a particular "flavor" of it.

Do you plan to run it under a 68k mac?
Anyway, torrents can be downloaded using a bitorrent client...they tend to be far faster than any direct link.
Now using x86 machines. Bye bye iMac266 (Strawberry), G3 1400 and the G3 IIsi.
