Question about Airburst Classic...

Yeah, I know. I'm working on getting Airburst Extreme. ^_^;

Anyway, I have panther and I was trying to play Airburst. It kept frapping out when quitting so I checked the old forums (I think?) and saw that there was an update fixing this. I downloaded 1.055 and it said to copy everything into my airburst folder...I replaced everything. I'm not sure if that was right, but it said to copy the *contents* of the folder and not just throw the entire folder into the previous one.

Before I finish, I had this package thing called Ten For X Games, which had a copy of Airburst that - in its manual - said it was pre-registered. However, when I did the update and replaced everything it said I had to re-register. I tried entering in my Ten For X Games registration code but I think that's only for when I'm installing all of the games, and not for individual registration. Anyway, it said the registration number was too short...

Am I stuck with only 29 more launches unless I re-register...? I would have just lived with the crappy quitting and the lack of saved progress if I knew that was going to happen (I mean, I already paid for Ten for X Games anyway). I'll reinstall all of my Ten for X Games if that's the only solution but I'd like to try to avoid it if possible, since I just moved into a new house and my free time is usually only for a few, quick minutes where I can play a brief game.

While on that subject, I couldn't access the skin template nor could I access that special screen for the characters, even though my game was pre-registered (I'm not even sure that's necessarily required either).

there was a bit of a cock up in the production of the Ten for X games discs that left Airburst on there non registered. Aladdin did a page that had a registration code for owners of that version, but with their various buyouts etc. I don't think the page is still there. Freeverse have a registration code for Ten for X owners though, so pop them an email and they should be able to give you a Freeverse registration code for the game.

As far as the updates are concerned, if you're using the update rather than downloading the whole thing, the items in the update replace the ones in the original folder (rather than replacing the whole folder). If all else fails, you can download the whole game again.

Oh, okay. Thanks, I appreciate it! I'm working on getting Extreme right now, though. Once my parents buy it for me anyway...^^;
