How to crack open an iMac

Where would I get information to crack open an iMac to fix the cable issue for the weird video I get.

Which iMac?

iMac G3? Tray loader or slot loader?

iMac G4 (flat screen and dome base)?

iMac G5 (the screen is the computer)?
