 <title> MicroWar 1.0b3
 (mwar.hqx)</title>
 <link>http://www.applefritter.com/node/14088</link>
 <description>MicroWar (update 1.0B3)
--------------------------------
µWar is a Space Invaderstyle arcade game in the cruel micro-computer industry.
You are an Apple Computer faced to Wintel hordes.
Move your Mac around at the bottom of the screen using your arrow keys, and fire your weapons at the advancing hordes of substandard PC clones that are invading your world. At each level, the PC horde moves faster and faster. Flying saucers drop bonuses and death marks from the sky: avoid the Microsoft and Intel marks, and rush to collect the Apple and Motorola ones. This update includes better FS handling and more bonuses. In addition, the game is a little harder, and graphics have been enhanced.

This update correct a bug that make PowerMac G3 to run µWar too fast and add background screens adapted from Apple's ads.

 <title> Calculate Size CMM Plug-in 1.2 and 1.2J
 (calculate-size-12.hqx)</title>
 <link>http://www.applefritter.com/node/16754</link>
<description>Calculate Size CMM Plug-in is the MacOS 8 Contextual Menu Plug-in

the Finder.

&lt; Features &gt;

* It can calculate the total size of selected folders and files.
* It can include invisible files (such as folder's custom icon) for
the calculation. You can get more precise size than Finder's
"Get Info" dialog.
* It can display the progress information while calculating.
* You can cancel the operation any time during the calculation.
* By setting the progress information display mode to OFF, it can
performe high speed calculation.

- What's new with v1.2 -

The new version now uses 64-bit for the internal calculation so that
it can handle large size volume. Also it has added some new features
like 'Expand Mode' for more detail information.

- Mailware -

System Requirements:
* OS: MacOS 8
* Hardware: PowerMac
* Software: Contextual Menu Extension, SOM Objects for Mac OS

For more information, please read the documents enclosed.

<title> iMac iCon by Pixelhaus! 67k
 (imac.hqx)</title>
 <link>http://www.applefritter.com/node/17229</link>
<description>This is the newly updated and more accurate version of the very first iCon
of Apple's
new iMac design. It also includes two bonus iMac icons, one "turned on" and
one featuring an iMac running Apple's eWorld...

well... one can dream, can't one? :-)

Please note: This pixelhaus iMac icon is freeware, but it is *not* in the
public domain. pixelhaus maintains all rights in perpetuity. You are free
to use this icon on your personal computer or on non-revenue-generating
personal websites, but it cannot be used commercially or re-distributed in
any way without express permission.

Permission is granted for inclusion on the commercially available Info-Mac
CD-ROM, as long as the entire file, ReadMe and all, is included with the
icon.

This includes incorporation into third party software and use in
Kaleidoscope Color Schemes.

The best idea is to ask us beforehand. We are usually fairly flexible.

If you do not know how to customize the icons on your Mac, there is a
wonderful tutorial on the the subject at the Iconfactory's website at:
www.iconfactory.com

Please enjoy the icons and visit the pixelhaus often.

 <title> trash-bag-122.hqx

 <link>http://www.applefritter.com/node/13503</link>
 <description>Trash Bag 1.2.2

&lt;ftp://sumex-aim.stanford.edu/info-mac/disk/trash-bag-122.hqx&gt;

Add this absurdly simple application to your Startup Items
folder, and you'll never have to worry about download clutter
again. Trash Bag creates and maintains a folder that looks like
a bag in front of your desktop trash can. Use it as the
destination folder for encoded Internet downloads, Web browser
cache files, or anything you doubt you'll need tomorrow, and
Trash Bag will put them in the Trash automatically.

Unlike the "real" Trash, your Trash Bag folder lets you open
what's inside it, and you can access it through standard file
dialogs. It's also great for making a temporary backup copy of
a document before editing - just Option-drag it to the bag.
Tomorrow, when you no longer need it, it'll be in the Trash.

Version 1.2.1 adds compatibility with Mac OS 8.0, and offers some
visual feedback to show you that it's working. Version 1.2.2
fixes a very minor bug.

This program is part of the AWOL Utilities 1.4 package,
which includes the following programs: Virtual Desktop 1.9.1,
Maybe 1.5.2, Help on Wheels 1.3 (and HoW Developer's Kit 1.3),
PictPocket 1.3.2, Menu Events 1.3.1, Menu Grabber 1.3.1, Trash Bag 1.2.2.
All of them are free, and Copyright (c) 1994-7 Ross Brown.

 <title> PageInspector 1.5
 (page-inspector-15.hqx)</title>
 <link>http://www.applefritter.com/node/16601</link>
 <description>PageInspector 1.5
http://www.kagi.com/doug/pi/

PageInspector is a Macintosh-only HTML syntax validator. It reports and
corrects errors that cause HTML pages to render incorrectly, and that are
difficult to find by eye. It also checks links, both local, FTP- and
HTTP-based links.

FEATURES:
=========
- Displays the text of the open file and highlights the exact location of
errors.

- Checks local as well as Internet links (that is, HTTP and FTP -- no other
program does this).

- Checks the case of local links to ensure they are UNIX-safe in addition
to being Mac-safe, which is not done even by programs that "specialise" in
HTML link checking.

- Obtains the document base URL from the file's Finder comment. No other
program does this.

- Lists up to 8192 errors in HTML documents. Explains why PageInspector
reported the error, and how you can correct it (or even have PageInspector
correct it for you.)

- Contextual menus provide shortcuts to commands (even in pre-MacOS 8 systems).

- Complete AppleScript support, including a scripts menu. Full
scriptability lets you extend PageInspector's automatic error corrections,
and select errors in your favourite text editor for correction.

- Uses a modern MacOS 8 3D platinum interface.

- Many preferences offers full customisation of PageInspector's behaviour.

PageInspector works on all Macs running System 7 or later. It is
accelerated for Power Macintosh. Open Transport and a Power Macintosh are
required for Internet link checking. Shareware $15 through Kagi Shareware.
