For the sake of those trying to use Google to track down an old copy of SCSIProbe:

 <title> OTChat 3.0.2
 (ot-chat-302.hqx)</title>
 <link>http://www.applefritter.com/node/15379</link>
<description>OTChat 3.0.2 is most likely the last version that will ever be
released. All of my energies are now focused into NetRPG's big
brother, WebRPG, which is written in Java, and has WAY more features,
and will support plugins for various game systems. If you want to
check it out, go take a look at http://www.webrpg.com and click on
WebRPG Online Central. Thanks!

OTChat is a basic TCP/IP chat server that runs on a Macintosh, similar
to IRC. To use it, simply run it and connect to your mac using telnet or
a MUD client. A MUD client is better because it has a buffered input
line.

Version 3.0.2 fixes a bug where when a user /QUIT and everyone else
would get 3 disconnect messages.

 <title> FTyper1.0.1b-68k.sit.hqx
 (ftyper-68k.hqx)</title>
 <link>http://www.applefritter.com/node/11788</link>
<description>NOTE: FTyper's original creator code, initially
cleared through Apple's registration site, turned out
to be reserved. This version should be distributed
instead of the recently posted FTyper1.0.0; in addition
to using a new, cleared creator code, this version
supports drag-n-drop files and basic Apple Events.

FTyper README - online version
(The README file that comes with the application also
 has instructions on using FTyper)

FTyper for MacOS(TM)
copyright (c)1999 by Christopher Corbell
PPC and 68k versions
created with REALbasic(TM)

FTyper is a pretty straightforward application which allows
you to change the type and creator of a file. FTyper comes
in both 68k and PPC versions and it's free.

THIS IS FREEWARE...

WARNING/ LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: Please note that it is
possible to seriously corrupt files, including software
applications, by changing their types and creators! Users
of FTyper do so at their own risk and the author takes no
responsibility for loss of data or other liability. This
software comes with no express or implied guarantee to be
fit for any particular purpose.

Version history:
* 1.0.0a - basic functionality, dynamic menus &amp; prefs file
behaving correctly; single-file type and creator editing.
PPC version untested.
(Oct. 1999)

* 1.0.0b - public beta. Preliminary testing on both 68k
and PPC found no bugs. Changed color of "About" menu!
(Oct. 1999)

* 1.0.1a - added basic AppleEvent handling (open, open
document, quit); also added drag-and-drop to FTyper
window - now opens files by dragging icon from Finder.
Added REALbasic graphic and FTyper icon to About box.

* 1.0.1b - changed FTyper creator code to 'fTyp'.

Plans for future versions: batch changes with conditional
options, file name-changing including type-suffix mapping,
resource fork stripping, and other nifty stuff.

 <title> OTSessionWatcher 1.0.1
 (ot-session-watcher-101.hqx)</title>
 <link>http://www.applefritter.com/node/15380</link>
<description>OTSessionWatcher allows you to examine the data transmitted through Open
Transport TCP streams. This is useful for debugging network applications
and network problems, learning about networking protocols, or watching for
strange or unwanted TCP traffic.

If you have ever wondered what your computer was saying when it was talking
to other machines on the network, this program is the answer.

OTSessionWatcher requires a PowerPC (Power Macintosh or clone) and Open
Transport.

Version 1.0.1 is a simple rename of the program from StreamWatcher to
OTSessionWatcher due to a trademark conflict.

OTSessionWatcher is shareware, single user licenses cost US$35, site and
organisation-wide licenses are available.

More details are available from our web site at &lt;http://www.stairways.com/&gt;
including documentation and press releases.

Enjoy,
   Peter.

This is the Japanese version of the AMICO package.

AMICO 2.1.1J (An apple menu utility)

AMICO is a utility that helps you change the order of the items that
appear in the apple menu. It also lets you insert divider lines between
these items.

For more information read the "Read Me" file.

To ensure that AMICO will function properly under Mac OS 8 and up,
you need to check the "Always snap to grid" checkbox in the "View Options..."
dialog box of the Apple Menu Items folder and possibly do a "Clean Up"
for that folder as well.
