Is this ZIP CHIP an 8MHz FAKE?

If you look at the screen of the 3rd picture in this listing http://www.ebay.com/itm/ZipChip-Apple-II-8-MHz-Zip-Chip-model-8000-/181834324686

You'll see on the top ZIPCHIP II-4 title. Does this mean that this is a relabeled 4MHz zip chip? I concluded so and asked the seller to cancel the transaction despite I won this auction.
He relisted the item and removed those screenshots...

Raised Power Light Switch Help Needed!

Hello, I'm trying to repair the original keyboard for my Apple II. One problem is I don't have the right key-switch for the raised power light. The one that I have does not give it enough height. I figure that I'm not going to find one of those anytime soon. I have the correct raised power key, just not the correct switch. Has anyone done a modification the to a key-switch from a plus for example, to give it the correct height? I was thinking maybe I could put a spacer underneath the key-switch. What do you guys/gals think?

Bit 3 Computer Full-View 80 Column Card

Hey all, trying to find some instructions/manual for the Full-View 80 card by Bit 3 Computer Corp.

I've found some references online to the card but cannot find anything to help me use it.

Some of the standard Sup 'R' Terminal and Video/Ultra Term commands work (Ctrl-A lowercase toggle, some ESC and CTRL key commands)
I cannot find anything about how to switch to the various character sets.

This one has a motherboard date of 8009, and is serial number 62385.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Apple-II-Computer-w-Period-Spectrum-Analyzer-1980-/331629759577?hash=item4d36ac8c59

Just listed, so far price is $499.00

Does have the Integer chips, but no interface cards or drives.

ps: It's not mine, I just saw some folks earlier expressing a desire to pick one up and this seems like a fair price (so far)...

MM5740/AAE Keyboard Controllers...

Just dropping in to check if anyone has any of these chips. I see them come up occasionally on Alibaba, but they never respond and they are probably fake anyway. I'd like to get my II+ keyboard working again, but not willing to pay LittleDiode prices, since I could get another II+ for that kind of money.

If anyone has any or has made a work-alike, I'd appreciate it!

Back to the Future

As a lot of people on this forum have done, I
spent alot of time with computers in my youth.
I started on a Apple II clone, not
being satisfied I saved my hard earn dollars
and bought an Apple ][e. (unenhanced)

Now I wish to reclaim what I did not do in
my younger years. I wish to write software
for it. This time I will be using an emulator
on my Mac.

First question - I think I will using Sweet16
or maybe Kegs but I do not know. How do you
save programs in an emulator? I have used one
before but only to load programs.

2nd question - Are there other versions of Basic
that support Shape Tables for Double Hi-REs? I am
looking to do animation but I cannot find much
documentation for the IIe on this. I have been going
throught the IIe techincal manual and know that it
the memory map for DHGR interweaves between the aux
memory and main memory but cannot find examples
of this being implemented in coding. (Apart
from the games like Airheart and the like)
Does anyone have any experience of pointers in this direction?

Sound - I would like write tunes for the graphics in
assembler or basic but need a little more information
that the tech manual.

Apple //c • Screen anomalies on Startup with & with out disc.

Hello everyone, and thank any of you in advance for shedding any light on my issue(s).

I bought an Apple //c. It came with the Green Display, 5.25" Apple //c external drive. The purchase also included some original discs as well as many "home brew" looking discs.

The challenge I face is this: When I boot up with or with out a Startup disc in the internal bay, I observed an artifact in the mid-lower/center of the screen.

Follow this link: https://youtu.be/bcyAhMvTb3s to view the video I made of the process. For what it's worth I rebooted again with out the disc in place. I got similar results.

Any suggestions on how to proceed this next?

Thank you again for you time and consideration. Oh this appears to be a ROM 1 unit. - Gary
