Drive not working after being in storage

I recently pulled out a Disk ][ that had been kept in a drawer for several years. It was working when I put it away, but now it's not.

It powers up and makes the normal head banging sounds if I try to boot from it but then just spins the disk forever.

If I boot from another drive and try to read from it or format a disk with it, I get IO errors.

I opened it up and cleaned the head (which wasn't terribly dirty), but that didn't make any difference.

Pascal Adventure Games book

I've submitted my scan of the book "Programming Your Own Adventure Games in Pascal" by Richard C. Vile to the Internet Archive. Also included are three disk images which contain the adventures and all the data files in the book, as well as maps for the three adventures. In the book I've made notations to correct a few small bugs and for clarifications.

The disk images and maps are here: https://archive.org/details/pascal-adventures/

SSC Revisions

Maybe I'm crazy and going down a rabbit hole here.  But looking at an SSC card, I started wondering what the different revisions are.  I've seen people refer to them as revision A, B and C.  Maybe other letters, but seems to usually be one of those 3.  Most people seem to base that off the letter stamped at the end of the part number in the lower left.  And, there seem to be at least two variations of the Apple part number - 670-0020 and 670-8020.  Looking photos of these two part number cards, All the ICs appear to be laid out the same, discreet components all seem to be in the same spots.

New ROMX pricing

Get a ROMX for as little as $49.99!

We've un-bundled the Video ROMs to significantly lower the cost on all ROMX* models. This will satisfy those that don't need the extra fonts. But you can always add them later if you want. Plus you can now select either a 24-pin or 28-pin Video ROM to fit your motherboard. Due to chip prices and supply issues, we did have to raise the "bundle" prices slightly.

Apple iic keystrokes registering continuously

I recently got an Apple iic with a fault; in Basic any last registered keystroke will register continuously until a new one is made, then that will register continuously. I only have the one machine and can't trouble shoot by swapping parts - what is the most likely culprit here? See attached video. Thanks

ProTERM 3.1, Offline vs. Online

I have been playing around with WiiModem232 and ProTERM 3.1. The WiiModem232 needs to be addressed directly from the terminal to enter Hayes AT strings. Although nowhere in the official ProTERM 3.1 documentation does it talk about this, apparently pressing command-T puts the program in "Terminal Mode" and allows the user to send commands directly to the serial port.  My question is, how do I exit this Terminal Mode?
