Garbage on Screen after reboot

Hello,

I have an Apple //e and after a rebbot - most of the time - I have garbage on screen.

Sometimes with a blinking cursor and sometimes only garbage.

I try it 10x and perhaps it could be ok once.

Best

Erik

Video HW Issues - or maybe not?

Hello,

I've recently decided to revisit my childhood and acquired an Apple IIe platinum.  The motherboard says 1987 and International NTSC.

(I'm mucking around with 6502 assembler on my PC and debugging/emulating with Applewin currently)

I have no dedicated composite or Apple monitor, so I bought a no name composite to HDMI adapter. (I couldnt get hold of a vidHD :(  )

And here it what I have found :-

Any emulator which can save memory disassembly to file?

I'm using a Apple II program which loads in small sections as needed. I'd like to compare a disassembly listing before and after a particular section is loaded, but the emulators I'm familiar with only seem to show disassembly onscreen with no facility to save it to a file (at least as far as I can tell.)

Can anyone suggest an emulator (for Windows) which can save a disassembled section of memory to file?

Thanks, Michael

Help with recently acquired Apple II Plus

Hello all,

I have just recently inherited an Apple II+ Plus from my late godfather. I got it working with little trouble, but then the power supply blew up. I bought a replacement for it from ReativeMicro and just installed it. Since installation I seem to be having trouble with getting the Apple II to read disks. Now when turning on the Apple II, it flashes the screen with random characters for a split second and then just stays at the Apple II screen with the drive spinning, I can get it to boot to BASIC by pressing CTRL+RESET.

File Type Mismatch Error When I Try To Open Documents

Hello, I inherited an Apple IIe computer that I found in the basement of the family home. It's from the mid-80's. I powered it up and it seems to work, I ran an old program from a floppy disk called "Apple Presents Apple" fine. I am trying to access document text files from some floppy disks. I enter CATALOG and see the list of text files but when I enter READ FILENAME or OPEN FILENAME I get the error message "File Type Mismatch". Can anyone help me with what I need to do to open these files? Also, does anyone have a suggestion of what this computer might be worth?

Sider controller card problem

Whenever the card is in a slot in my IIGS, 3.5 in drive stops working. It also seems to affect a serial card that I use as well. The 5.25 drive is unaffected. When I take the sider controller card out of the system, both the 3.5 drive and the serial card work properly. I have had the 3.5 drive daisy chained after the 5.25 and as the only drive in the system. Neither way works.

Also, the drive and serial card stop working even if the sider is turned off and the cable connection is disconnected.

Looking for some guidance.

Thanks

DB19 to IDC20 Floppy Disk adapter

I have a Disk II drive that has the write protect switch disabled. With my IIe I have a 19 pin controller and drive. A2 Heaven sells a DB19 to IDC20 Floppy Disk adapter. I’d like to use it to daisy-chain that Disk II off a 19 pin drive. Has anyone tried this
