Apple II

Does Anyone Recognize This Card?

I was just up on eBay and there is a card for auction that I have never seen before.

The Item number is 280724325328 and it seems to be a mouse interface with a SCSI connector.

Any ideas? Smile

ADTPro with a USB Serial port?

Hi,

I would like to run ADTPro from my laptop but it does not have a serial port. I have a USB to serial adapter and wonder if it can be used. When I start ADTPro and select the serial config option, no port numbers are shown in the drop down menu.

Can this combination work?

Thanks,

Richard.

Power Supply Identification

Hi to All,

I am trying to identify a fried component on an Apple IIe power supply. I have a couple of schematics but they differ from the supply I have.

Mine is a 120v version, Apple part number 825-0510-A, manufactured by DynaComp Inc.

It is the first component on the neutral line after the switch!

A diagram would be great if someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks,

Richard.

Dead Apple?

Hi All,

I received an Apple IIe today which I am told has been in storage for a number of years. It looks clean enough inside but it does not power up.

It is a 120v model so I hooked it up with a suitable transformer but the supply voltage does not get past the IEC power socket. This looks to have some built in filtration but I get no voltage at the output side.

is it possible that the filter has failed?

Would it be ok to replace it with a non filtered type just to prove that the machine will power up?

Any help gratefully received!

Thanks,

Where did serial numbers start for the II Plus and Bell & Howell models?

What's the lowest serial number of either model you've seen, and do you know the motherboard date?
