Apple //c Versus Apple //c+ 15pin Video output

Was there any difference between the complex video output port of the //c and the //c+? According to Wikipedia, the //c's video output port was incomplete, and couldn't send a signal (for example to an RGB monitor). Was it changed/fixed/improved no the //c+? Has anyone tried using higher quality monitors with it?

Cannot create .DSK images within Applewin?

I seem to be having problems creating Disk images within Applewin? I thought at one time , you would just click Open on one of the drives , type in (uppercase) the name of the file you wish to create , enter INIT HELLO and it would format the disk image and create it? Then when I try to drag it to a drive or open it , it says that it does not recognize the file format? Is there a new step in Applewin that will let you create disk images? I am trying to fix some warez that are not working correctly and copy the contents to a new freshly made .DSK image .

Thanks....

Super Serial II problems

Hi all,
As my IIGS serial port has failed I'm trying to get my Apple IIe Super serial card working to be able to copy some .dsk images to floppies for a mate.

I've got my card setup as per the ADT-PRO site but when I do a IN#3 (card is in slot 3) I only get the ] prompt. If I press enter I get the ] again. Ctrl+A or Ctrl+I does not doing anything and I get a syntax error when typing 14B.

Is my card dead? I've reseated all chips and cleaned the gold bus pins with alcohol. Here is a photo of the jumper settings. I've tried both Terminal and modem with the same jumpers.

IIe Platinum Video Help

Good morning (at least it is for me!) Have a IIe Platinum that pushes out video but it is very dim/faint. Tried it on several different monitors and the same result. The monitors all show good video from a variety of II's, including two other Platinums so it is not the monitors or cable used.

Any thoughts as to what I can check/do?

I was always a user, not a builder, so my technical repair skills are limited but willing to learn/try almost anything.

Apple II plus & IIe Vulcan drive. No info, any help?

Hello everyone. I just got a cool Vulcan hard drive set up in a IIe. It is physically in superb condition.

It makes a high pitch winning sound when turned on. The screen shows wavy lines. I have experienced this same screen with bad power supplies on regular apple IIe's. The cards LED lights up red.

My initial guess is the power supply is screwed. But of course this may change with additional info...

I have to say I would not have started a thread had I found some info on the net. I searched several topics and have found no info my self.

Can I use this Apple IIc printer cable with an adapter for ADTPro?

I got this in a lot with an Apple IIc and I was wondering if they make an adapter so that I can connect my IIc to my PC for use with ADTPro...

Thanks,

Apple IIGS hardware failure

Hi all,
I downloaded the Apple IIgs Diognostic V3.0 image from Asimov ftp and ran it on my Apple IIGS because im having some problems. It detected the following errors.

Expansion RAM card not detected
Sound Circuitry Test Fail
Serial Test Failed

I've checked my expansion ram card and all looks fine. No burnt out chips and everything looks clean and in order. Not detected? Any ideas before I try and source another on ebay?

Sound Circuitry test failed??? Sound seems to work on the system not sure what this is refering too?
