Itunes won't play (it loads fine, just won't play)
I know the title sounds vague, but thats the only way to describe it. iTunes loads up fine, shows the library, etc. When I select a song, I hit the PLAY button (it changes color so it knows its been clicked on) but it won't play. The song info shows in the info/EQ window but the diamond won't move and the play button continues to saty the same (it doesn't change to the PAUSE symbol)
I have un/re installed iTunes and can not seem to figure out what is causing the problem. I updated my iTunes to 6.0.2 and now nothing.
Please help.
DETAILS! DETAILS!
What OS?
Windows (XP or 2000)? Mac OS 9? Mac OS X (Tiger / Panther/ Jaguar)?
What version of iTunes (6.x, 5, 4.x)?
What version of QuickTime (7.x, 6.x, 5.x)?
Connecting via USB (1.1 or 2.0) or FireWire?
Not to sound like a jerk, but we really can't help much without knowing some more details that only you can provide.

iTune Problem Solved!!
I just found a solution from someone on MAC's board (where there was no luck before) that pointed me in a different direction.
Seems there is a stand-alone version of Quicktime that can be downloaded now where before it had to come together with iTunes. I installed the stand-alone version of Quicktime and boom...it works now. I'm relieved.
I looked a little deeper and found there are others with this problem that all seemed to start around the end of December.
Thanks for the quick response. I hope someone else can benefit from this info who's having the same issue.
OS Windows XP? Same Problem
Having the same problem on Windows XP - Any advise for the 'MAChallenged'?

Hee-Haw. Problem solvable on PC just the same as MAC - Found it on another forum from 2003...
