I'm going through a Disk II that's having some issues, and in the process, I created another issue to fix.
Drive was having issues and unfortunately the card moved when the door was open and the Disk II PCB grounded on the disk mech....causing the Apple II to beep...but:
Now, when I try to boot, the drive spins but the stepper motor doesn't do the normal startup 'thumping' and the LED never comes on.
Anyone have an idea what I may have shorted out? There happens to be a lot of posts out on the web about drives with lights that don't go off, but mine never goes on! :)
