Price is a little high, but that's just my opinion. The wood case is nice.

Looks like he relisted this replica. $5,000 for a fake seems awful high to me.

Hello Mitch,

Well if you just solder the replica with modern parts you might be able to
make a replica with 700 U.S. Dollars or a bit less ( according to the set price
from Unicorn ).....

But :
If you hunt for the parts used in the original .... well then it gets more and more
expensive..... Just for example: few years ago that original TI-sockets have been sold as set
at ebay for more than 499,00 U.S. Dollars ! Some guys paid easy more than 2500 Bucks for
parts with correct date and correct manufacturer and even that named price does
not mention about the price for a date correct white ceramic 6502.... ! That would
easily raise the price paid by at least another 700 bucks or more....

So if you want to judge about price of a replica - well then you should first take
a closer view what parts are really on the board...

so don´t be suprized if someone tells you that his replica resulted to cost
higher than 4000 bucks.... it might be true....

then add up another 300 bucks for CF for Apple-1 and cassette interface , cassette recorder
and additional power supply...

Just be happy that you own an original one !

sincerely
speedyG

I have sold one of my Mimeos in the past for much more than that, but it had correct date code chips and one of my bend plexi cases. I had well more than 5k into that system between the white 6502, sockets and all the chips and other items.

What makes the 5k high for this one is the fact the total parts costs for this system was minimal because it uses chips from the 1980's and 1990's that are relatively inexpensive.
