I was uncomfortable asking her to stop what she was doing.
Why? It's -your- MacBook right? Man up and when you pick the MacBook up, mention the scuffs weren't there when you brought it in, and insist they fix it.
As anyone who has attempted to remove small scratches from a CD knows, it's almost impossible to restore a perfect scratch-free finish by hand and you run the risk of making it worse.

Not sure, but it looks like he went on a spree of trying to delete all of his posts here (and thus the wonky name for this thread, which I've fixed) so his account has been locked.

She should never have used a screwdriver to remove your Speck case. No tools required, and even if they were, she should have used a plastic "Black Stick." That's what they're for.
