PISMO bay module stuck

I put an older VST super disk in the right module bay to find some old files.

When I tried to eject it (using the lever) it wouldn't budge. I don't want to push the level too much, and I'm afraid I already have.

How can I get it out? Any sources on lever replacement?

Thank you.

You may......

You may have to do some disassembly. Here's some helpful laptop sites.

this is where a ball-pein hammer comes in reeeeal handy . . .

heh heh, just joking.

Pop out the battery from the other bay so you can see where the latch is located. It's low down along the front edge, maybe 7 cms or so from the side. I'd suggest creating a 1.5cm wide x ~10 cm long tool from some thin stiff plastic. Slide that between the front edge of the EBM and the bay itself to push on and release the EBM from the latch and allow you to pull the EBM out by hand.

Try the ifixit site. I had to

Try the ifixit site. I had to install a new logic board in my Pismo the other day and a full dissassembly/reassemby took me about 35 minutes... and I'm no computer technician.

Hope you get it sorted - I know I can't live without mine!!

PISMA bay module unstuck

Here's how it came out, so to speak.

I took the keyboard off, and the smallest corner of the module is visible just at the bottom of the revealed area. A light push, gently with a screw drive, on the module combined with a little lever action from the ejection lever, and it began to move. Enough to grab it and pull the #*!!?%# thing out.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll keep them on file.
